Manuel Truccolo
If you check the stats you may realize Manuel reached a higher amount of miles ridden than words spoken in public in 2021. We got to know him on many different occasions – Italy Divide included. During that race he lost his phone and remained contactless with the World for three days, just to make sure to avoid speaking too much.
Truth is that after a couple of minutes together, Manuel reveals to be a good talker as much as he is a strong cyclist – and trust us is quite a rider. He loves climbing and remote areas, he rather likes suffering and scary situations. All in all considered, he is the kind of guy we easily create a connection with.
We have quite a feeling Manuel hasn’t shown his full potential yet and we’re quite sure that if we give him the right inputs he will give us a lot of satisfaction. And no, we’re not talking about cycling performance, rather of everything that is around it.

Starting from the ground!
The unconventional enough interview
How long have you been cycling for? What pushed you to do it for the first time?
I picked up the bike a few years ago, actually not many. At the end of my university I started cycling to break my daily routine. I didn’t even know what a bibshort was and I started step by step with a super old and heavy bike.
How would you describe your relationship with bikes?
A bike is what I need to relax, it improves your self esteem and your psychological resistance. In a nutshell, I ride because it makes me feel good. And to eat whatever I want too.
Tell us about your most beautiful ride.
I can’t really pick one. For sure the ingredients are always the same: cool people, great places and a couple of good beers.
Tell us about that time you felt challenged the most while riding.
I got very low many times, especially in long events. To tell you one example, last year at Italy Divide I broke my phone in the first 24 hours and I rode for three days without a chance to contact anyone. I didn’t even know where I was. It’s always nice to tell such stories – when they are over.
What object do you always carry with you on a ride?
As a matter of fact my phone. A debit card and a multitool too. And yes, even my lights because there’s always a chance I’ll be late.
Complete this sentence: if you come on a bike ride with me be aware that…
I’ll never rush you but you need to know there will be a lot of climbing involved if we’re riding together.
What is your dream cycling event?
More than one actually. Silk Road Mountain Race, Tour Dive and Inca Trail. My list could go on and on..
What are your plans for this season? Are there any events you look forward to more than others?
Travel, ride and do many different things. If – by any chance – you know a long and remote event let me know – I’m listening.
What did you say enough to in the past? What do you think you will never say enough to?
I said enough to laying on the couch for too many hours. I’ll never say enough to a gin and tonic to end the night.

Explain what Enough Cycling is to your grandma.
Let’s jump on a bike and discover it together!
Your ideal Saturday night? What if it was a weekend? With the right people, regardless of the place and the format. But no shopping malls at all. With a bikepacking weekend you can never go wrong. Even better if it starts on Friday.
You have a gap year, how do you spend it?
If you give me a year off and some money too I’m already looking for some flights to travel all over.
A sentence that represents you?
Take all the opportunities and don’t be lazy!
Your favorite cyclist or athlete.
Among the pros is the honest and fair one. One who gets back up and never surrenders. Among the amateurs is someone who manages to find time to train. It means a lot, much more than the result.
If you are not out on the bike you are…
I didn’t get the question. What do you mean?
Have you ever crossed paths with Enough last year? If so, what have you taught about it?
Sure! I thought it was fun. And also that riding with a pineapple and some beers in your bags is not easy!
Have you seen how the other guys ended up in less than 12 months? Are you sure it’s the right choice for you?
Let’s see what happens in the next few months! I’m pretty sure it’s the right choice – it’s gonna be awesome!
