Some events and races go sold out like crazy but there a few opportunities still open if you want to tackle a race this year. As many of you asked, here some of our favorite events you still have the chance to sign up for!

This post is the first of a short series. In the second episode next week we are gonna give you some alternatives to sign up for social events, bikepackings and everything that is not competitive at all.

But back to the races, you know we do different kind of things. This selection covers all kind of possibilities.

MEMORY BIKE ADVENTURE

July 11th, Bassano del Grappa
720 km – adventure race
Link to the website

Of course. We might be biased here, but this is the event you want to race if you want true adventure in 2023.

We raced all sort of events around the World. With the Memory Bike Adventure we tried to design a route to crown the most complete adventure biker around. There’s everything: step climbs, remote areas, hiking sections. All in a “short” race to be fast enough to create the right engagement for the dot watchers.

Plus, it’s the area we’ve been riding for our entire life. It’s so underrated and unknown and we can’t wait to show it to everyone. We’re pretty sure you are going to love it.

Few spots left!

OCTOPUS GRAVEL

July 1st Andermatt
One day race
Event website

The meeting point for gravel enthusiasts and mountain lovers as they describe it.

Swiss alps + our friend Janosh + it’s part of the Gravel Earth Series. Nothing more to add to realise it’s an event one can’t miss.

There is a “central” hub and the ride goes up and down to the mountains. Back and forth with a central heart to live a beautiful experience beyond racing – which is the most important part.

SAFARI GRAVEL

June 17th, Naivasha (Kenya)
125 km – One day race

Not the easiest logistics, but keep an eye on this one in case you’re dreaming of riding in the savanna surrounded by zebras, giraffes and elephants.

Same organizers as the Migration Gravel Race, rest assured this is gonna be one hell of an experience.

It should be a pretty fast route and an experience that pretty much anyone riding a gravel bike can tackle. The cool thing is that it’s all in the best area to spot wild animals and an incredible landscape.

We are thinking about anticipating our arrival in Kenya to be there for this one too. Maybe we will meet there.

THE LOOP

July 6th, Wien
One of a kind race

That’s a really special one. The first race where everyone finishes at the same time.

It’s not super easy to explain, but let’s say the rider with more km wins. The thing is, you earn kms in different ways: actually riding or doing some extra things like riding to the sea or hiking your bike. You get to the finish and make the math: if your distance is the highest, you’re the winner!

It’s in Wien and it’s from our friend Max of GravGrav. Another cool guy from the ultra-crew: we are pretty sure the mood will be the right one and it’s gonna be super fun.

GRAVEL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

October 7th, Veneto
One day UCI sanctioned race

If you manage to qualify, it’s great.

We don’t know the route, we don’t know if the rules will be changed (we hope so).

What we know is that is in Veneto again and we will be there ready to ride together before the event and party as last year at the finish line.

Whether you’re racing or not, we strongly suggest you to be around the area that week cause we will do our best to have a great time together!

To qualify, you need to race at least one UCI World Series event and get a good result. To be there, you just need to book an Airbnb or drop a line: we always find a solution for our friends!

We hope to see you there!

And keep an eye on the blog – 5 suggestions for non competitive events coming next week! Cheers
